Below is some quick info on how to activate the SUM licenses.

What is needed:

  1. BMC MAC ADDR
  2. License Key


  1. Use this link to access Supermicro's Update Manager page (SUM): https://www.supermicro.com/solutions/SMS_SUM.cfm
  2. Click download at the bottom; the link will bring you to a customer info verification page: https://www.supermicro.com/SwDownload/UserInfo.aspx?sw=0&cat=SUM
  3. Grants access to a back-end portal where you can download the client, and also put in the activation keys we provided in an email for downloading the license keys to make it work
