[BIOS] How to enable 4G decoding

Step-by-step guide

ASUS Barebone ESC4000 G3

  1. Power on system, while continuously pressing the 'Delete' key to access BIOS settings
  2. 'Advanced' Tab → 'PCI Subsystem Settings'
  3. Enable 4G decoding if needed

Will add more models later. AFAIK, the Asus BB are just different for this setting. I know other models that have this under 'Miscellaneous settings'.


TYAN Barebone B7079...

  3. Enable 4G decoding if needed

So, same so far. Need to check SMC models we use.

SMC 4U ...

  2. 'Advanced' Tab → 'PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration'
  3. Enable 4G decoding if needed

Slightly different name, but still in 'advanced' tab.
