In case you are re-installing Ubuntu 16.04 S and running into a blank screen; typically caused if system contains NVIDIA Graphics Cards when attempting to install Ubuntu.

Adding nomodeset

2 ways:

1. Press 'F6' at the 'Install Ubuntu Server' screen, highlight 'nomodeset' and press 'enter' or the spacebar to mark an 'x' for the option; then press 'esc' to exit the 'Other Options' list and press 'enter' to proceed with 'Install Ubuntu Server'
   
   
   
2. Press 'F6' like method 1, but do not select any option and press 'esc' to exit the list. You can then edit the 'Boot Options' line to add 'nomodset' after 'quiet'
