Installing Memory (TS4-672693)

Important: Exercise extreme care when installing or removing DIMM modules to prevent any possible damage.

Proper Dimm placement chart

DIMM Module Population SequenceWhen installing memory, the DIMM slots should be populated in the order shown in the table on the previous page. The blue slots must be populated first.Always use DDR4 DIMM modules of the same type, size and speed.Mixed DIMM speeds can be installed. However, all DIMMs will run at the speed of the slowest DIMM.The motherboard will support odd-numbered modules (1 or 3 modules installed). However, to achieve the best memory performance, fully populate the motherboard with validated memory modules.

Dimm Installation

  1. Insert the desired number of DIMMs

into the memory slots in the order
shown on the images. For best
performance, please use the memory
modules of the same type and speed.

  1. Push the release tabs outwards on both

ends of the DIMM slot to unlock it.

  1. Align the key of the DIMM module with

the receptive point on the memory slot.

  1. Align the notches on both ends of the

module against the receptive points on
the ends of the slot.

  1. Press both ends of the module straight
