Tools Required

Step 1 - Open box, remove and organize necessary contents, remove plastic coverings

In order of what I’m pointing at:

  1. 4x short shock spring screws

  2. 4x CPU tray mounting screws

  3. 8x short radiator-fan assembly screws

  4. 8x long fan-to-radiator mounting screws

  5. Small tube of thermal compound (paste)

Remove plastic covers from cooling block contact plate. Failure to do so may result in melted plastic and possible additional damage/obstruction to processor. Cooling block may reach very high temps while system is under heavy use.

1 - Package Contents.mp4

Step 2 - Position Liquid CPU Cooler and radiator fans so that all Manufacturer logos are displayed and upright after being installed into system

This may not apply to all Liquid CPU Cooler models.

Mainly:

  • Fans will be installed under/behind radiator

  • Radiator-fan power cables are near the cable-management cavities (shown later in this guide)

  • Cables and tubes are not crossed during or after installation

  • Installing it as per the Manufacturer suggests

    • Controversal, mainly how fan orientation is displayed in manuals, but that’s discussion for another day

2 - Orientation prep.mp4

Step 3 - Fasten fans to radiator with long screws

3 - Long screw drops.mp44 - Fasten fans to radiator.mp4

Step 4 - Untangle all cables and cable ties

5 - Untangle cables.mp4

Step 5 - Mount the CPU Cooling Block mounting cables to the CPU Cooling Block

6 - CPU bracket screws.mp47 - Tighten CPU bracket screws.mp4

Step 6 - Not really a step, but shows how you should carry the assembly to the system if you’re going to install it now

Remember the CPU Cooler assembly orientation step from earlier.

8 - Carry to workstation.mp4

Done.
